I don’t suppose many of us remember the last coronation, so this feels momentous in many ways – the coronation is on Saturday, I hope you have the most fantastic day, whatever you have planned. I’m sure we all wish our new King well.

The Market is on Sunday, so still, technically the Coronation Weekend! Time to wind down, have a browse, meet friends – coffee at Stomping Ground or Pokusevski’s or a Pimms at Pale or Cassidy’s. And of course stock up from your favourite traders and a couple of new faces!

We get a bit carried away with our last market of the year – Santa settles into his grotto in the Heatons Post Hub, we have a LOT more stalls lining Shaw rd, we have funfair rides, choirs, singers, ukeleles, a Lantern Walk , St Paul’s flings its doors open wide to everyone and has a St Nicolas Service and before Santa goes back to his workshop, he visits us at the market. The bars, cafes and shops are all open – come and join us! 10.30 – 5pm Dec 4th

Its been a glorious summer, albeit with the incipient worry of climate change in the background, but it feels as if it is re-setting itself back to a more ‘normal’. However as we all know, trying to second guess the weather is a fools errand, but we are hopeful for the market nirvana that is light or no wind / rain on Sunday!
