The wind speeds are too high for us to have the market on Sunday, it’s just too dangerous. Many apologies – next Market will be May 5th
#gutted #bloominweather #highwinds

Everything is begining to burst into life, buds are opening, flowers leaning in to whatever sunshine is available and we are, tentatively, venturing outside without hats, gloves and scarves as mandatory!
Who knows, the Traders might be sporting one less layer of thermals this market:)

Your friendly neighbourhood market is back on Sunday, Oct 1st.
We have butchers @Traditional Farmhouse Meat and #Haycroft Meadow, bakers @Cakes of Bliss / @marmalady / @Palette Bakery / @Fat Fridays / @Treehouse Bakery / @Sticky Toffee Jo and candlestick makers @Recut
This month too we are joined and will be on a regular basis by Shelley from the much loved @TheGood Life which has recently closed in Heaton Mersey. So, bring your refills, bring your empty (recycled obvs) bags and restock.
Last month I promised sunshine and no-one was more surprised than me when we had it! So, fingers crossed for more this month.
PS. Just googled the Butcher, baker rhyme – turns out we have to ‘turn them all out’ because they are ‘knaves’! Well, who knew and in the Heatons as well….
Many, many more traders – 55 in all, here are a few photos:

Time to welcome September in with a Heatons Market! Sunday is Heaton Moor Producers Market, packed with your favourite traders and a few new faces 10.30 -2.30pm on Shaw rd.
If you are a loyal reader you will know I usually do a blow by blow list of the traders for Shaw rd….having a change this month. There will be 50+ traders, predominantly local, so local that a trolley is pulled from their house, all sell handmade or handbaked products & if they aren’t (olive oil, sweets & craft kits) they are individually sourced, all our traders are well established, well liked & passionate about their products with a loyal customer base – indeed you may well be one of them!
We have pies, cakes, sausages, original art, seeded greeting cards, samosas, hotfood, plants, coffee, organic skincare, sticky toffee puddings, recycled bicycle parts, wooden home decor, jewellery, sauces, toys…….
We are open from 10.30 -2.30pm however if you are earlier there is always the chance your favourite stall is ready to serve you. Find us on Shaw Rd, Heaton Moor SK4 4AG under our bunting.

August 6th is the next market, so if you are not sweltering or sheltering from the rain on your holidays, come and join us.

There’s a lot going on in the Heatons next weekend! To celebrate and support the amazing array of events the market is extending its hours, so we will be bright eyed and bushy tailed and behind those gazebos until 4pm.
Click on the link https://www.communityevents.uk/big_summer_weekend_get-together and see everything that is planned. The weekend begins on Saturday morning, 1st July and ends late Sunday afternoon July 2nd.
Acticities range from Bat Walks to Open Air Cinema to getting your hands dirty with clay to Summer Garden Parties encompassing Bowling, Dancing and a bit of Thai Chi. I think the phrase I am looking for is – something for everyone! And never forgetting all your favourites at the market, plus some returees and new faces, over 50 stalls, local traders and every single one is an independent trader. Shop local – support small businesses – enjoy the community and meet friends old and new.
No Trader Listing this month, rather just enjoy having a browse through the Big Summer Weekend itinerary https://www.communityevents.uk/big_summer_weekend_get-together All brought together by the rather amazing Mel and Amanda at Heatons Post, our hyperlocal, free newspaper.
To get a taste of the traders booked on the market follow FB: Heaton Moor Producers Market and / or Insta: heatonmoormarkets / Twitter : HMoorMarket and see the postings each day this week.
See you on Sunday if not before!
