We are off! 2017, Heaton Moor Market is raring to go. 11-3pm March 5th.

The improvements to Shaw Rd have started and we are working together to have the market continuing throughout. Credit where credit is due, the Council have been very helpful and accommodating throughout and we don’t foresee any major issues and at the end of the work we shall a lovely environment for our very local market.

Our Traders are all lined up, regulars and a few new faces.

FOOD & DRINK

Bit of a Fudge – calorific and glorious

Haycroft Meadow  – hand crafted burgers, sausages – come early, they sell out quickly

Mum’s Macaroons – hand made, beautifully flavoured macaroons

Heart and Graft – locally roasted coffee, once tried, there’s no going back

Signature Scones – savoury, sweet, gluten free. If you like Scones, this is your stall.

Mafeking Biltong – South African smoked meats in Heaton Moor, some SA weather would be nice too…

The French Corner – toutes vos viennoiseries et du pain quotidienne fraîchement cuit also known as fresh bread and pastries!

Heaton Moor Producers market is on the move for the day, we are setting up base camp at The Moor Top who have invited us there 11-3pm. Really looking forward to it, hoping for better weather than last year….if any of you braved it, it was torrential wind and rain. Sage Traders of the market merely nod at each other when discussing the weather and just say ‘Moor Top 2015’ Nothing more is needed to be said. But not Saturday – I have booked blue skies and sunshine!

Our last Shaw Rd market of the year! We are at the Moor Top pub next Saturday Dec 10th, but this is the last on Shaw Rd until March 5th 2017 on our new smartened up Shaw Rd.

This Sunday we have a fabulous line up, we are packed in to the edges and we are joined by the lovely Colette Todd who will be singing with us 11.30-1.30.

If you park on Shaw rd or the Kushoom Koly carpark, remember it is the market on Sunday, once we start setting up, your car will be marooned until 4pm. Please remove on Saturday night – thankyou.

Well, who knew ‘extravaganza’ was such an odd word when you try to spell it, not a common parlance, that one!

That is all to say, the market is here today, Nov 26th, a scaled down version. We are a small part of this 4HTA event and are our very own little festive dozen for you to browse and chat to. We have our thermals ready, we are trusting the mulled wine is warming and Santa’s elves have got their tutu’s out of the wardrobe – see you later, 3-8pm, Santa arriving at 4pm.

Autumn has officially begun and judging by the rain today, the weather agrees! I haven’t looked at the forecast for this Sunday, I prefer to envisage blue skies, the leaves begining to change colour, gracefully falling from the trees, a slight breeze touching the rims of the gazebos, the joyful cries of the Traders as they set up their tables, the delight as we see that no cars have been left parked overnight even though signs have been up for days….oh yes, we can but dream…
