It’s the 1st Sunday of the month again this coming weekend, the weeks cycle past quickly!
First of all though, thankyou to everyone that came along to Heaton Mersey Market last Sunday July 24th, making it a fabulous day. Lots of comments that it felt like a Village Fete! It is such a lovely setting, the sun came out in the afternoon, the church looked beautiful, stalls full of smiling people, traders and customers alike all worked together to create a really good atmosphere ending with a full beer garden at The Heaton with live music to boot.
Now at Shaw rd last month we had no such temperate weather, we had biblical rainstorms, threats of thunder and a vertitable river running under our stalls! Apologies if you came and found us packed up, after a fantastically heavy deluge, all the weather apps were telling us thunderstorms were imminent, we had to be safe and so packed up early- we were drenched! I personally haven’t been that wet for a long time. It was certainly a memorable market…
